Daily Find – Bossman by DEANE HAWLEY – Rockabilly Popcorn Rocker 45
Daily Discovery - Bossman by DEANE HAWLEY - Rockabilly Popcorn Rocker 45 on Dore Records #554
Wicked intro on this Los Angeles Rockablilly, Pocorn, Mod, R&B Soul strollin' rocker. This is the kind of record that can't be pigeon holed because there are so many genres that this tune fits into. Deane is like many people, he has a dilemma, go to work at a job that he can't stand and feels that there is no escape. The dread of waking up the next morning to punch a clock is excruciating, thank goodness I don't have to do that anymore! What's stopping you from leaving that job you hate?

Daily Find – All In One by The 3 Blue Jays – Rare Beat Ballad Northern Soul 45 on Triode
Daily Discovery - All In One by The 3 Blue Jays - Rare Beat Ballad Northern Soul 45 on Triode Records #106. Flip side is "Bicycle Ride".
A wicked, stomping little beat with vibes, horns and distorted haunting backing vocals. The lead singer is enticing you with an almost sensual feel to get on the dance floor to do his dance. The name of his dance? The "All In One" which is a mixture of different dances he calls out, the monkey, the twist and the chicken. Listening to and letting my imagination run wild I can totally picture him in the middle of the dance floor in his crisp pressed suit, crazy moves and smooth powerful vocals driving the women wild one dance at a time. This is a relatively unknown beat ballad on the same Triode label that released the legendary Northern Soul "I'm Coming Over" record by Johnny Honeycutt.
