Another gem that Guru and crew from Gang Starr sampled on their song 2 Deep from the Daily Operation album. I've been on a funky jazz kick lately and this is right up my alley. The drums kick hard on so many of the songs so I had to look who played them and I come to find out there's two drummers, Grady Tate or Richard Smith. I am familiar with Grady's sound but not Richard's who does a fantastic job on the session as well. Funky album from start to finish.

The wide ranges of genres Frank uses on this masterpiece include but are not exclusively from R&B, Doowop, Blues, Classical influences to what it is Progressive Rock, Psych Rock unlike any one else you have ever heard.
