Daily Find – Lovely Is Today by Eddie Harris & His Electric Saxaphone – Plug Me In Lp Funk Jazz
Daily Discovery - Lovely Is Today by Eddie Harris & His Electric Saxaphone - Plug Me In Lp Funk Jazz on Atlantic #1506. 60's Funky Jazz.
Side One songs - Live Right Now - It's Crazy - Ballad (For My Love)
Side Two songs - Lovely Is Today - Theme In Search Of A T.V. Commercial - Winter Meeting
Another gem that Guru and crew from Gang Starr sampled on their song 2 Deep from the Daily Operation album. I've been on a funky jazz kick lately and this is right up my alley. The drums kick hard on so many of the songs so I had to look who played them and I come to find out there's two drummers, Grady Tate or Richard Smith. I am familiar with Grady's sound but not Richard's who does a fantastic job on the session as well. Funky album from start to finish.
Daily Find – Summer Ride by Brighter Side Of Darkness – Sweet Soul
Daily Discovery - Summer Ride by Brighter Side Of Darkness. 70's Sweet Soul from the original Love Jones LP. Love Jones was their big hit. Other favorites of mine on this Lp is "I Owe You Love" & "I'm A Loser" "Something To Remember You By" which I also love by the Chicago Northern Soul group the Ledgends on Red Balloon. New summer jam??
